Popeyes London is releasing their brand-new Famous Chicken Sandwich on Monday, July 27th! Adrian, our VP of Events had the exciting opportunity to try out the new sandwich before its release. Read his blog post below.
This past week, I, along with other London food influencers like @Ayerke_ and @Czytalento (Instagram), was invited by Popeyes London to try out their new upcoming Famous Chicken Sandwich. For someone who loves all things fried chicken, I got to say that this event was one of the greatest highlights of my summer thus far.
I have to say this first; please find a way to get this sandwich when it drops because it is superb. Served with fresh pickles, the chicken was super juicy on the inside and crunchy on the outside, which is just the way fried chicken should be. I was even more satisfied with how flavourful it was; something I find myself never disappointed with when it comes to Popeyes. Paired with soft brioche buns and topped with spicy (you can have regular, too) mayo, I can say that it is, overall, one of the best sandwiches I have had at Popeyes yet.
The whole taste testing was awesome yet super nerve-wracking. The influencers and I were placed in small groups of 3 to 4 guests, and the staff allowed us to film and take pictures of everything related to the sandwich: the ingredients, the staff, and its preparations. In fact, I have to give a shout out to the manager, Amer, who went above and beyond for all of us. I was pretty nervous, as this was my first time having an invitation to a taste test, but he made sure everyone’s needs were met, relaxed, and, most importantly, safe.
It was so refreshing to see how well Amer treated not only us but his staff and regular customers. One can easily tell that Popeyes London understands how hospitality and food are intertwined and extends this philosophy throughout their food and actions. Following their successful promotion and my stellar experience, I can confidently say I will be returning soon to enjoy the Popeyes Famous Chicken Sandwich again!
